Material Handler Job Description

Department: Warehouse

Position Type: Hourly $23.5

Wage Type: Class D

Function: Warehouse

The statements included in this Position Description reflect, in general, the duties and responsibilities of this position and are not to be interpreted as being all inclusive. The focus should be on the position and not the current incumbent.

Summary: Reporting to the Materials Manager this position will be responsible for receiving all SAP ordered items in a timely and accurate manner. Maintaining accurate paperwork and understanding batch run materials is crucial to the success of this position. The employee must have strong organizational skills and be able to lead multiple tasks at once. This is a high visibility position that has impact on many areas of operations.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Receiving primary, secondary, and raw materials into SAP that deliver into the plant or any contracted warehouses.
  • Maintaining accurate shipping paperwork, Certificate of Analysis, driver information, and any other receiving information that will align with all Kraft Heinz standards.
  • Handle all discrepancies that may arise in the receiving process.
  • Maintain Employee Food Safety Awareness.
  • Flexibility to work all hours and weekends as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.
