Job description

Position Title:           Material Handler 1 

Pay Rate:                   $19.57/hr 

Category/Shift:        Hourly Full-Time (1 pm - 9:30 pm, Monday-Friday)

Physical Location:   800 N. 48th Street, Springfield, OR 97478

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Handle and maintain the flow of materials throughout the plant

  • Complete daily pre-start forklift maintenance inspection report (or VCR)

  • Complete sorting and deboxing of material 
  • Move/stack pallets/materials on the production floor 

  • Dump gaylords, totes and cages

  • Complete PMs for all certified mobile equipment regularly

  • Must be able to lift 25 - 30 lbs
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards
  • Attend and participate in Plant safety meetings
  • Manage controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage 
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns
  • Communicate with floor lead - maintenance issues, downtime, production issues, unacceptable or non-conforming loads, poor bale quality, or any other issues with material being handled
  • Adhere to Plant policies and guidelines

  • Other duties may be assigned
