The Material Coordinator collaborates with planning, logistics, and factory operations, ensuring that work orders begin with everything required for successful execution. This includes resolving material shortages and maintaining data integrity within our systems.
The successful Material Coordinator will support overall schedule adherence, drive material readiness, and contribute to production stability through proactive coordination and real-time inventory control.
Responsibilities
Major Job Activities
  • Coordinate and verify delivery of materials and documentation to production.
  • Ensure readiness of orders by reviewing work orders and material availability.
  • Monitor and track work order progress, addressing barriers to ensure timely completion
  • Proactively identify and resolve material shortages or discrepancies before impact to production.
  • Update ERP systems with accurate material movements, completions, and adjustments.

Material & Equipment Directly Used
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on area assignments. Use of carts, bins, and material handling equipment required.

Working Environment
  • This role is primarily performed on the production floor with frequent walking, standing, and material handling.

Physical Activities
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications
Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in materials coordination, production control, or inventory operations.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to work across multiple teams and departments.

Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, S4HANA, Oracle, or equivalent.
