We are currently seeking a Construction Engineer - Materials Coordinator to help serve our connection of clients and community. The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company's good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
  • Coordinate with the Contractor the procurement, delivery, and inventory of construction materials for civil engineering projects.
  • Track material usage and delivery schedules to ensure timely availability of resources on job sites.
  • Collaborate with project managers, field staff, and procurement teams to forecast material needs.
  • Review material specifications and ensure compliance with project plans, codes, and standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of material orders, receipts, and deliveries.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor material storage, usage, and quality.
  • Support QA/QC efforts by ensuring material certifications and submittals are properly submitted, filed and approved.
  • IDOT Aggregate Technician or Mixture Aggregate Technician Certification.
  • IDOT Portland Cement Concrete Levels I and II Certifications.
  • IDOT Hot Mix Asphalt Levels I and II Certifications.
  • IDOT S-33 Soils Certification.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in materials coordination, procurement, or logistics within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management or ERP software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, Primavera).
  • Understanding of civil construction materials and specifications (e.g., concrete, aggregates, pipe, geotextiles).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with field crews, suppliers, and project managers.
