Your Mission:
The Inventory Controls Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inventory control processes within the logistics department to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with company standards. This role leads the shipping & receiving processes and cycle counting activities, investigates inventory discrepancies and physical inventories, and partners with material handling, production, quality assurance, procurement, and finance teams to maintain inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do:
  • Supervise daily inventory control operations within the inventory control department (Inventory Control Coordinators, Logistics Coordinators, and Receiving Team Leader).
  • Lead and coordinate cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliations.
  • Lead the investigation of and resolve inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
  • Ensure accurate inventory transactions in ERP/WMS systems.
  • Develop and maintain inventory control procedures and audit processes.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy KPIs and report results to leadership.
  • Champion the weekly Approaching Expiration / Inventory Control meeting (rework and hold review).
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on inventory processes.
  • Train and develop inventory, logistics and material handling personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, FIFO, lot tracking, and traceability requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Supervise inventory control coordinators, logistics coordinators, shipping & receiving and material handling staff as applicable.
  • Provide coaching, performance management, and development planning.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
  • Serve as the deputy of the Inventory Control Manager in his/her absence as the go-to person for inventory and material handling issues.

What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of inventory control or warehouse experience.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Powered Industrial Vehicle Train the Trainer Certification.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse operations.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Where You'll Work:
  • Manufacturing and warehouse setting with varying temperatures (ambient, cooler, and freezer) and noise levels.
  • May require schedule flexibility, including weekends during inventory periods.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work in warehouse and production environments.
  • Operate all powered industrial vehicles utilized at the bakery location to the level of expert/trainer.
