Job Summary:
Responsible for inspecting mechanical and electronic assemblies. Review item's supporting data, examples: item certifications; item performance data; and vendor inspection/test reports. Visual inspection of products ready for shipping and verifying product shipping documents. Coordinating inspection activities with engineering, production, and shipping departments.
Responsibilities:
  • Use standard measuring equipment to conduct inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards at various locations in a production environment.
  • Follow and implement inspection protocols and support with quality procedures.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct pre-shipping inspections to ensure product compliance with specifications.
  • Nonconforming Material Control
    • Timely process nonconforming materials rejected material to quarantine area
    • Ensure timely resolution and documentation of nonconformance issues.
  • Systems & Reporting
    • Utilize ERP systems to extract data, produce report,
    • Create and maintain detailed reports using Microsoft Excel and Word or Power Point

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • Experience in quality inspection or quality assurance.
  • Good Math skills
  • Go-getter with a collaborative mindset and a passion for teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with reviewing technical drawings, specifications, standard measuring tools
  • Knowledge with MS Office, especially Excel and ERP systems would be very helpful.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use of hand tools may be necessary.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Assistance should be requested when needed.
