Job description

Inventory Control Associate

Location: Atlanta, GA
Starting Pay: $20.70 and up based on experience, 1st shift

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits; document results and variances
  • Report discrepancies and research transactions, locations, and handling history to support root cause review
  • Maintain labeling, bin organization, and location integrity to support accurate inventory and efficient picking
  • Assist with stock movements including replenishment, consolidation, put away support, and inventory adjustments
  • Use handheld scanners and WMS tools to record counts, movements, and location changes in real time
  • Follow safety and material-handling procedures; report hazards or unsafe conditions
  • Communicate inventory issues, low stock, and recurring discrepancies to supervisors and operations partners
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in designated inventory areas
  • Support receiving and picking teams during downtime
  • Participate in training and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ year warehouse or inventory experience preferred
  • Basic computer and data entry skills; WMS or barcode scanning experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and teamwork
  • Preferred: OSHA forklift certification or other material-handling equipment certification

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position and move or traverse throughout the warehouse to perform cycle counts and audits
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to operate handheld scanners and keyboards to enter and verify inventory data in a WMS
  • Must be able to move, transport, and or lift up to 50 lbs while following site safety procedures

Work Environment

  • Warehouse environment; often indoors and sometimes outdoors near docks or yard areas
  • May be exposed to equipment and machinery; noise levels may be distracting or uncomfortable
  • Workspaces may not be temperature-controlled and can be hot or cold
  • Work near others, share workspace, and occasionally work in awkward positions to access tight storage areas
