Job description

Under the supervision of department leadership and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines, the Materials Management Statistical Coordinator 1 is responsible for the efficient movement, control, and availability of specialty supplies and implants required to meet the clinical demands of Sterile Processing & Distribution Department. This role supports safe, timely patient care by coordinating ordering, receiving, put-away, PAR level management, specialty cart and c-locker maintenance, and readiness for scheduled surgical/procedural cases. The Coordinator manages urgent supply needs, recalls, and returns, performs basic data collection and trend analysis to support inventory planning, and collaborates closely with Leadership to ensure the right supplies are available for the right case at the right time. All duties are performed in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years progressive Healthcare Supply Chain and/or Surgical Specialty experience required
  • An Associate's Degree or higher can substitute for experience in Materials Management.
  • Completion of department approved Medical Terminology course.
  • Completion of department approved Sterile Technique in-service and/or course.
  • Completion of PeopleSoft Finance Supply Chain Management Mindlab course.
