Material Handling Associate
Supply Chain & Inventory Control

We are hiring a Material Handling Associate - Supply Chain & Inventory Control to support material planning, inventory control, production operations, and customer property management in a manufacturing or defense environment. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in material handling, supply chain operations, inventory management, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and continuous process improvement while ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily material handling activities and serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams and Supply Chain communications.
  • Analyze production and inventory data to support material availability and production requirements.
  • Review stock records and prepare purchase orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Monitor material status and proactively identify shortages that may impact production schedules.
  • Communicate material control issues and recommend corrective actions to internal stakeholders.
  • Support root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to resolve material flow and inventory issues.
  • Oversee the handling, storage, and accountability of customer-owned property and non-gun materials.
  • Utilize enterprise software systems to manage inventory transactions, material movement, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance material flow, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to improve supply chain processes and operational performance.

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in material handling, inventory control, supply chain, warehouse operations, or manufacturing support.
  • Experience handling non-gun materials and/or managing customer property storage and accountability.
  • Strong knowledge of material movement, inventory control, warehouse operations, and material management methodologies.
  • Proficiency with enterprise software systems, inventory databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze inventory and production data to support operational decision-making.
  • Experience working in a collaborative production or manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with material handling control systems and inventory management tools.
  • Knowledge of Government Customer Property Control processes.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or government programs.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies or automation tools that improve operational efficiency and supply chain processes.
