Warehouse Operations Support

Pisces Healthcare Solutions is a medical equipment and supply distributor supporting our VA hospital system. We are a veteran owned small business and a government contractor. We serve those who have served by providing the medical equipment needed to support our veterans. Supports our company's warehouse operations by receiving, picking, sorting, packing, shipping, loading, and unloading products in addition to other warehouse activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process incoming orders.
  • Identify, separate, label and/or palletize materials.
  • Pick, pack and ship orders to customers.
  • Installing protective packaging, padding, bracing, or strapping to items being transported to prevent damage.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and track stock levels.
  • Verification of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure that quantity count is accurate, and no damaged merchandise is received or sent out.
  • Ensure orders are shipped on time and in good condition.
  • Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area(s) such as racks, shelves, or vehicles
  • Assisting drivers in loading or off-loading arriving trucks/tractor trailers
  • Report damages and/or compliance issues to immediate supervisor
  • Follow Safety protocols.
  • Maintain clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of previous warehouse experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Coordination and inventory control skills
  • Previous experience using Warehouse Management Software; Ship Station a plus.
  • Basic computer skills include email and data entry.
  • Must have previous forklift experience.
  • Must be able to complete the in-house forklift certification program.

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.
  • Ability to read invoices, labels, codes, weights, and measurements.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment subject to moderate deviations in temperature, moving machinery and low levels of noise.

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse environment.
  • Regular exposure to extreme temperatures, dusty conditions, fumes, machinery with moving parts, and outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Possible exposure to chemicals and other toxicants, electrical shock, loud noise, and high places.
