Job Description:

Plans, prepares, issues and coordinates material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials to meet project demand. Plans internal production as needed to support deliveries to both internal and external customers.  Responsible for placement of material requisitions, material transfers and monthly financial analysis.  Program Control Account Manager for material spend.  Advises team on the status of material availability, work in progress, and potential delivery problems to ensure that materials, equipment, and services are provided as needed. Confirms material supply and prepares work orders for assemblies based on the project demand. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc. to achieve project timelines.

Work as part of an Integrated Project Team (IPT) as required to support program deliverable while managing and communicating schedule changes if/when they arise. Provide part planning and inventory control parameters to the control system for both buy and make items. Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with project schedules. Determine shortages and initiate actions to correct these deficiencies. Contribute suggestions toward the continuous improvement of systems and procedures.

Essential Functions:

         Operate and manage ERP inputs to ensure overall inventory accuracy

         Ability to learn the ERP system (Costpoint) and process transactions electronically and physically to ensure overall inventory accuracy.

         Manage inventory levels for direct and indirect materials

         Communicate status and needs with cross functional teams including various internal and external customers (i.e. Program Management, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, etc.)

         Advise management of the status of material availability, work in process, and production problems to ensure that materials are provided as needed to achieve milestone completions along with product delivery.

         Coordinate the material to support the master production schedule, shop workload and inventory requirements.  Provide financial justification and monthly estimated at completion totals for both material dollars and labor hours.

         Utilize prior experience to identify risks and opportunities regarding material availability to ensure success of the material/production plan and maintain finish date integrity.

         Manage multiple projects with varying complexity from project kickoff to completion.

         Schedule and expedite receipt of raw material and the movement of parts by means of material requisitions, move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.

         Works under minimal direction and guidance within standard processes.

Qualifications:

         Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

      Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

       In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

         Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams

         Aerospace or AS9100 experience

         Familiarization with control of GFM (Government Furnished Materials) and CFM (Customer Furnished Materials)

         Experience with Lean and/or Electronic Manufacturing

         APICS Certification
