Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The Women's Center RN is cross trained to all areas of the women's center and may provide care, but not limited to antepartum patients, laboring patients, postpartum patients, neonates and gynecological patients at any time including admission, stabilization, operative intervention and discharge. The RN will be responsible for patient assessments, planning care, implementation of care plan, evaluation of care. He or she shall demonstrate excellent communication skills, exhibits professional behavior. He or She will institute appropriate nursing interventions according to department policy and procedure. The RN facilitates patient flow throughout the department utilizing effective communication skills in cooperation with the other nursing and ancillary units. The RN Documents in the EHR including patient responses to treatments and medications and progress towards goals as appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current registered nurse license in the State of Texas
  • A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred
  • National certification is preferred.
  • Current CPR
