Job Overview
The Transport Driver is responsible for ensuring safe and timely delivery of CCCI full goods, raw materials, and other essential items to and from branches and production facilities per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, Company policies, and DOT Hours of Service guidelines. The Transport Driver is an essential logistical position that meets stringent timed deliveries of full goods to branches and may pick up raw materials to meet production schedules and is responsible for following all safety rules, safe backing, proper landing gear operation, connecting and disconnecting brake and air lines and ensuring that all paperwork regarding all loads are properly accounted.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe and timely delivery of full good or raw materials to our customers, distribution centers, or manufacturing facilities according to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, company policies, and DOT Hours of Service guidelines
  • Conduct daily pre and post-trip safety inspections on company assets; submit orders for any needed repairs, and ensure all loads are secure before leaving any facility and are safe for transit.
  • Ensure daily compliance to all Electronic Logging Device (ELD) processes regarding DOT Hours of Service are accounted for correctly
  • Complete all related safety activities and ensure the proper use of all company assets when in transit; when delivering and dropping trailers at the designated delivery location, including the repetitive hooking and unhooking of trailers multiple times during the day

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Class A commercial driver's license with Haz-Mat and doubles endorsements.
  • Minimum 2 years verifiable Over the Road, Bulk Rig driving experience (Tractor, Trailer, or Transport Vehicle)
  • Must have an excellent driving record. A 7-year Motor Vehicle Report will be reviewed.
  • Must be able to work set shift times.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain DOT physical requirements and be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have an excellent safety record
  • This position transports finished goods and dunnage from a production facility to a Distribution Center. In some areas, where a Doubles Endorsement is required, this role may transport completed sales orders from one facility to another for delivery. Minimum customer engagement

Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
  • Class A commercial driver's license. Haz-Mat and doubles endorsements may be required for certain geographical areas. Required to complete all monthly and yearly assigned safety training.
