Job description

The College of Nursing and Health Professions (CONHP) at Valparaiso University invites applications for Clinical Instructors of Nursing. This is a semester-by-semester appointment teaching one or clinical sections per semester.

Valparaiso University is a distinguished private university of 2,500 students located in Valparaiso, IN, one hour southeast of downtown Chicago. Candidates should be interested in working at a university engaged in issues in Christian higher education in the Lutheran tradition. The College of Nursing and Health Professions has programs in nursing (BSN and DNP), health care leadership (BSHL), health administration (MHCA), health science (BSHS), public health (BSPH and MPH), physician assistant studies (MSPA), and occupational therapy (DrOT, OTD).

This position is an adjunct appointment, beginning August 2026. The responsibilities of this position include supervising nursing students at assigned hospitals or health care agencies in the field of adult medical including emergency department and intensive care, pediatrics, maternal-newborn, community health, and psychiatrics.  The successful candidate will hold an earned masters in nursing or working towards a masters degree and have three or more years of experience working in a health care environment.
