Overview

Verathon is seeking an experienced Manager of Finance to join our team in Bothell, WA. In this role, you will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Airway business unit, collaborating directly with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to drive business performance. You will lead a team of Financial Analysts and take ownership of financial planning, reporting, and forecasting processes while ensuring rigorous financial controls are maintained.This position requires advanced financial expertise, sound business judgment, and a demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. The Manager of Finance will exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches, with decisions that have a meaningful and extended impact on business processes and outcomes.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership    Lead and develop a team of Financial Analysts, setting clear expectations, empowering problem-solving, and fostering a high-performance culture.    Provide hands-on guidance and support to analysts, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality work.Strategic Partnership    Partner directly with executive staff, key business leaders, and their teams to drive strategic objectives and support sound decision-making.    Develop a deep understanding of the medical device industry and Verathon's strategic priorities to provide relevant, forward-looking financial counsel.    Model business opportunities and deliver well-reasoned recommendations and solutions grounded in rigorous analysis.    Act as a trusted liaison between the Airway business unit and the Controller's team.    Provide insight generation rather than reactive reporting; shift from information provider to decision influencer.Financial Planning & Analysis    Provide in-depth analysis of global trends and operating performance to support business strategy.    Direct the annual operating plan process in collaboration with global leadership, ensuring alignment of revenue assumptions and outputs with business unit finance leaders.    Lead forecasting processes, incorporating the latest business updates from global leaders into financial models.    Ensure financial results are reported accurately and communicated clearly to relevant stakeholders.    Meet regularly with business leads to support their understanding of financial results, issues, and opportunities.Controls & Inventory Oversight    Establish and maintain financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliant operations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required; MBA, CMA, or CPA designation preferred.    8+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting experience, demonstrating increasing responsibility and leadership over time.    Experience leading a team to achieve business goals and drive measurable results.Technical Skills    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and complex data analysis.    Deep familiarity with financial reporting systems; demonstrated ability to leverage these tools to generate actionable business insights.    Advanced proficiency in multi-dimensional databases and business intelligence tools, such as Power BI.    Extensive experience with AI tools, such as Claude and ChatGPT, and demonstrated ability to use these tools to improve financial analysis and reporting.    Solid knowledge of relevant US GAAP accounting principles and their practical application.Leadership & Interpersonal Skills    Proven ability to build strong, trusted relationships with executive leaders and cross-functional teams across an international organization.    Demonstrated track record of excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, including macroeconomic analysis and financial modeling.    Exceptional communication and advisory skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and accessible manner.    Ability to educate and influence non-financial managers on financial concepts and implications.    Self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to positively influence others.    Strong organizational skills with a consistent ability to deliver accurate, on-time results.    Sound judgment in applying financial analysis to business planning and commercial decisions.

Salary range - $126,487.00 - $160,025.00 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range). 

Full-time employees who are not on a commission plan are eligible for Verathon's annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
