Job Description
The Department of Biology & Chemistry at Lincoln Memorial University invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Professor of Biology in Anatomy and Physiology. The successful candidate will have earned a PhD in Physiology, Anatomy, or a closely related discipline. Teaching responsibilities may include General Physiology, Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II and other courses in support of the Departments curriculum. The faculty member will have the primary responsibilities of teaching, scholarship, and service in support of the University, School, and Department missions. To ensure a smooth transition into our academic community, the successful candidate will participate in LMUs New Faculty Academy. Additionally, during their first year, the new faculty member will enjoy moderated scholarship and service expectations while receiving guidance and support from a faculty mentor assigned by the department. The target start date is January 2027.
Required Qualifications
terminal degree (PhD) in Physiology, Anatomy, or a closely related discipline; *educational preparation in accordance with requirements of the University and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; and *evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity
