Job description

Best Buy Co. has openings in Richfield, Minnesota, for the position of Lead Engineer. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.

Develop direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation. Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. Participates in all phases of the project lifecycle - architecture, design, development, MVP, and Dev Ops.

Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness. There are multiple positions available.

Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field, plus three (3) years of experience with software development; using SQL and relationship database management systems; and using SalesForce. At least one (1) year of experience must include development and deployment of applications; using Git and mono-repo development patterns; using version control software, such as Git; and using .NET. In the alternative, Best Buy will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor's degree experience with software development; using SQL and relationship database management systems; and using SalesForce

At least one year of experience must include development and deployment of applications; using Git and mono-repo development patterns; using version control software, such as Git; and using .NET. The pay ranges from $145,018/year to $145,018/year.
