Senior Project Scheduler

Position Overview

System One is seeking an experienced Senior Project Scheduler to support the planning and scheduling of advanced engineering and energy projects. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated project schedules while partnering with engineering, project management, subcontractors, and project controls teams to ensure successful project execution.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Oracle Primavera P6, project controls, schedule analysis, and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles in large, complex engineering or construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project lifecycle schedules using Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Update, maintain, and publish master project schedules and weekly progress reports.
  • Monitor schedule performance and identify variances from baseline plans.
  • Analyze project progress, schedule health, and emerging risks.
  • Incorporate project change notices into baseline and working schedules.
  • Perform critical path and schedule impact analyses and recommend recovery plans to maintain key milestones.
  • Support Primavera P6 administration, including EPPM data management, baseline maintenance, global codes, and system interfaces.
  • Coordinate schedule updates with engineering teams, project managers, subcontractors, and external partners.
  • Participate in project review meetings and planning sessions.
  • Develop schedule metrics, dashboards, and performance reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to project controls and scheduling processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of project scheduling experience supporting complex engineering, construction, energy, or industrial projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 and Primavera EPPM.
  • Experience developing and maintaining integrated project schedules.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, schedule analysis, critical path methodology, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Experience identifying schedule risks, variances, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PMI-SP, or AACE certification.
  • Experience supporting R&D, engineering, Department of Energy (DOE), nuclear, or other highly regulated projects.
  • Experience with Power BI, Oracle BI, or other reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project Online.
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering organizations and large capital projects.
