Job description

DuPont Spectrum is seeking an Asset Scheduler/Raw Material Planner to support its Pleasant Prairie site.
In the Asset Scheduler role, the successful candidate will be accountable for day-to-day activities required to create and maintain detailed production/supply schedules based on the master scheduling input or established pull signals. This person will serve as the point person between the supply organization and plant to clearly define / understand short term production issues and supply needs between the organizations. He/she will utilize detailed capacity plans, and interface with area managers and supervisors and/or production teams.
In the Raw Material planner role, this individual will be accountable for the formal planning and execution of all tactical level processes required to secure and manage raw materials, packaging materials, and semi-finished materials, based on a forward-looking production plan. This includes scheduling and managing delivery, storage, staging, and movement of materials. He/she will be responsible for creating and maintaining valid plans for the acquisition of parts and materials. "Valid plans" are time sequenced for materials required by the supply plan and resources are available to supply the materials at the right time, quality and quantity.
Responsibilities
  • Issue detailed schedule for each asset based on a final time-phased production plan.
  • Manage daily production schedules during planning horizon.
  • Manage production details in line with business strategy (cost, rate, inventory and uptime).
  • Assure schedule is continually maintained and communicated throughout the supply chain.
  • Highlight and actively participate in the identification and resolution of inventory, customer order issues, and quality issues as they develop. Work closely with Master scheduler and order planning personnel.
  • Communicate production schedule issues, supply changes, deviations from plan and potential resolutions to appropriate parties.
  • Coordinate secondary processing of finished product (e.g., rework and repackaging).
  • Manage performance standards and analysis methods to compare actual production performance against the established standards.
  • Monitoring process orders & assuring closed as needed, accurate process orders are used to maintain system & data integrity
  • Primary interface between manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Works with manufacturing to optimize the plant schedule along with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Co-ordinates the production planning with maintenance planning and scheduling needs.
  • Validate material availability against asset schedule.
  • Create, validate and maintain a valid materials plan based upon the Master Plan and Master Production Schedule.
  • Ensure the right materials are procured at the right time, quality and quantity to minimize production and storage costs, based on the material plan.
  • Develop and provide expected demand for ingredients and packaging materials to suppliers on regular basis. Obtain supply capability confirmation.
  • Schedule and manage the execution of material deliveries against existing contracts or purchase orders.
  • Assess and respond to expected raw material storage and distribution capacity requirements based upon supplier lead times.
  • Lead resolution of short-term supply/demand imbalances for ingredients and packaging materials.
  • Identify and initiate response to raw material service/quality complaints from manufacturing. Initiate return material process involving QA and Sourcing.
  • Participate in and provide data for evaluation of supplier service performance and work with sourcing and suppliers to improve performance.
  • Execute the plans for non-productive raw materials for disposition. Manage health of raw materials, semi-finished and packaging materials.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-7+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or distribution planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute detailed asset-level production schedules while ensuring material feasibility and supply continuity.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP, replenishment logic, safety stock / reorder strategies, and production execution principles.
  • APICS/ASCM certification preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
