What We're Looking For:
  • Compassionateprofessionalcommitted to helping individuals recover from substance use disorders through evidence-based counseling techniques.
  • Twenty-four (24) months of experience working with clients who have addictive disorders or specialized training in addiction counseling.
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, ora relatedbehavioral healthfield.
  • Current Louisiana LMHP licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAC, or LRC) ORPLPC, LMSW, RAC, CAC, and/or CIT working under required supervision and regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong assessment, treatment planning, documentation, communication, crisis intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

What You Will Do:
Provides evidence-based substance abuse counseling services for residential and/or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) patients while supporting recovery, treatment planning, and discharge coordination.
  • Complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments and communicate findings to the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Identifyand respond appropriately to abuse, neglect, suicidal risk, and homicidal risk situationsin accordance withfacility and state regulations.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group counseling sessions as ordered and scheduled.
  • Serve asprimarycounselor for up to 10-12 residential patients or 20 IOP clients.
  • Develop, monitor, and update treatment plans while documenting assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning, care conferences, and discharge planning activities.
  • Advocate for patients throughout the treatment process and encourage patient and family involvement in care decisions.
  • Coordinate community resources and referrals to support successful transitions of care.
  • Provide supervision to unlicensed or inexperienced professionals when licensed and authorized.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, safety requirements, and all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
