Job Overview
We are currently looking for a high level Machine Operator to join our team in the Wood Plant in Holland, MI on the weekend (Friday-Sunday) shift, but will be training/flexing on 1st shift when needed to fill gaps.
  • 1st shift schedule is from 4:30am-3:00pm, Monday-Thursday.
  • Weekend shift schedule is 6:00am-6:30pm, Friday-Sunday.

As a Master Machine Operator, you will:
  • Operate assigned production machinery in accordance with company standards to complete customer orders.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to flex between weekend and weekday shifts with varying days off is required
  • 8th grade education or higher
  • The ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • 2 years of prior manufacturing experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (hilo) certification
  • Ability to lift/move products weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to flex work schedule and overtime may be required including weekends and/or holidays per business demands

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior machine operation experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to troubleshoot machines
  • Prior hilo/forklift experience
  • Computer experience, including keyboard/mouse skills.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as gauges and tape measures

Essential Functions
  • Accesses electronic production system to determine daily schedule.
  • Verifies parts received against pick tickets for accurate counts, colors, part numbers, and packaging. Monitors material flow and updates electronic production system accordingly.
  • Selects the appropriate machine settings or program according to specifications.
  • Sets up and operates machine. Troubleshoots and may make minor repairs to complex machines.
  • Performs change-overs (adjusts tooling or tolerances, selects programs, etc.). Consults with other departments/specialists (e.g. maintenance, engineering) and provides feedback on specialized machine operations.
  • Investigates & documents production nonconformance issues.
  • May be required to operate a powered industrial truck and/or overhead lift system.
  • Rotates through department work centers based on business need.
  • Works overtime as needed.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
