Job description

Job Overview:
The Master Data Analyst is a member of the Master Data (MD) Operations team and is responsible for ensuring Customer, Vendor, and Finance master data is created, maintained, and governed in accordance with company data standards, internal control requirements, and defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This role supports accurate and timely data to enable efficient operations, reliable reporting, and sound business decision-making across the enterprise.
This position reports to the Master Data Manager and Master Data Supervisor and operates in a hybrid work environment in our Burlington, MA headquarters.
Position Responsibilities
  • Ensure Customer, Vendor, and Finance master data is created, validated, maintained, and governed per company data standards, governance policies, internal controls, and SLAs.
  • Process new requests and change requests for master data objects including customers, vendors, and finance data (e.g., GL, Cost Centers, Profit Centers), ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and required approvals.
  • Maintain master data hierarchies, mappings, and reference data to support operational, financial, and reporting needs.
  • Review and approve master data updates and perform periodic data cleansing and data quality reviews.
  • Support business projects, system enhancements, testing, and validation activities related to master data and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Partner with key stakeholder groups to understand business needs and deliver timely, accurate master data support.
  • Identify and implement process and system improvement opportunities; collaborate with manager and team to optimize end-to-end master data processes.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls to mitigate operational, business, and financial reporting risk.
  • Participate in master data audits, governance forums, and cross-functional meetings.
  • Demonstrate core competencies including customer focus, accountability, problem solving, collaboration, and drive for results.

Business Support
  • Complete special requests and ad hoc analysis or reporting as requested.
  • Operate within internal and SOX controls by ensuring requests are processed and reviewed per established guidelines.
  • Escalate compliance failures and internal/SOX control issues to management on a regular basis.
  • Manage assigned workload to ensure SLA, productivity, and quality metrics are consistently met.

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $62,500 - $72,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field, or 3+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Customer, Vendor, and/or Finance Master Data, including data governance standards, within SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) or similar ERP platforms.
  • Experience with Customer, Vendor, and/or Finance Master Data and data standards applications.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced functions).
