Overview

Hexagon's Autonomous Solutions division is looking for a Senior Manager, Master Data Management (MDM) to join our team in Calgary, AB or Tucson, AZ.

The Senior Manager, Master Data Management (MDM) will play a strategic role in establishing and leading the enterprise-wide Master Data Management capability across Autonomous Solutions.

This role is responsible for defining and implementing the strategy, governance, operating model, and lifecycle management processes required to create and maintain trusted enterprise master data. The Director will lead the standardization and management of Customer, Product, Supplier, Employee, Financial, and Reference Data across Autonomous Solutions while supporting key strategic initiatives including SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation, SuccessFactors, Enterprise Data Fabric, Analytics, and AI.

A core focus of this position will be establishing scalable master data processes, improving enterprise data quality, and ensuring master data governance is embedded into business operations. The role will work closely with Data Governance, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Systems & Process, IT, and business leaders to ensure enterprise data assets are managed as a strategic business capability.

The Location: This position can be based in Calgary, AB or Tucson, AZ.  

Responsibilities

As Senior Manager, Master Data Management you will be responsible for these activities:

  • Develop and execute the AS Master Data Management strategy and roadmap.
  • Establish enterprise-wide MDM operating model, standards, and governance processes.
  • Define master data lifecycle management processes across all business domains.
  • Align MDM strategy with SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Data Fabric, Analytics, and AI roadmaps.
  • Drive enterprise-wide adoption of standardized master data practices.
  • Establish and manage standards and governance for Customer Master Data, Product Master Data, Supplier Master Data and Employee Master Data.
  • Establish and manage Financial Master Data including legal entities, cost centers, profit centers, and chart of accounts.
  • Define critical data elements and quality requirements.
  • Establish enterprise data quality scorecards and monitoring processes.
  • Lead root cause analysis and remediation activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of master data quality and integrity.
  • Establish lifecycle management and archival standards.
  • Serve as enterprise MDM lead for SAP S/4HANA implementation.
  • Lead master data harmonization and migration activities.
  • Define future-state master data structures and governance processes.
  • Support SuccessFactors, ERP, and Data Fabric transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure sustainable governance beyond implementation.
  • Establish enterprise metadata management standards.
  • Partner with Enterprise Data Architecture on metadata and lineage initiatives.
  • Support Microsoft Purview implementation and enterprise data catalog initiatives.
  • Enable trusted analytics, reporting, and AI through well-managed master data.
  • Build strong relationships with business data owners and stewards.
  • Drive organizational change and adoption related to master data management.
Qualifications

Must Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, ERP, Enterprise Data Management, or related disciplines. Deep expertise in Customer, Product, Supplier, Employee, Financial, and Reference Data management. Experience implementing enterprise MDM frameworks and governance operating models.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale ERP transformations, preferably SAP S/4HANA. Experience leading master data harmonization, migration, and governance initiatives across complex global organizations.
  • Strong understanding of business operations across Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Sales. Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, business stakeholders, and technical teams. Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience driving organizational change and adoption related to data management, governance, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, data management platforms, data quality tools, metadata management, and enterprise architecture principles. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Microsoft Purview, Data Fabric, SAP MDG, Informatica, or similar technologies preferred.
