Job description

Victory Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynamo Technologies. Victory Solutions is a Small Disadvantaged Business providing quality technical and engineering services to NASA, the DoD, Industry and academia.

We are looking for a Configuration Data Management Specialist (CMS4) on the MSFC CDM contract located at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. This is a full-time onsite position and is contingent upon funding.

Senior professional experienced with a multi-level hardware/software development program to provide leadership in Configuration and Data Management (CDM) combined with Avionics, Software and/or Integration expertise for the Space Launch System (SLS) Program's Avionics and Software Control Board (ASCB) at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). This position will require identifying and resolving SLS Integrated Avionics and Software (IAS) issues. The position will operate under the leadership of the SLS Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) and the SLS SEI CDM Team Lead. Successful implementation requires initiative and flexibility to work in a fast-paced technical environment with the ability to assess and present resolution options and then to implement control board approved directives to resolve those issues. Independent thinker with the ability to interface with a variety of technical personnel to solve problems, analyze data, identify issues and present proposed resolutions to decision makers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Interface with personnel across the SLS Program and Element Offices to assess, determine and present resolution options for IAS issues.
  • Support the SLS Configuration and Data Management (CDM) Office and the SLS LSE in CDM- related process implementations in avionics and software integration.
  • Evaluate all change requests processed by the ASCB for configuration integrity (i.e. no conflicts between higher and lower-level documentation, all SLS Program level affected documents and all SLS Element affected documents identified in change)
  • Serve as alternate to the SLS LSE as a member of the ASCB
  • Represent SLS LSE on data development task teams to ensure all ASCB related configuration impacts are identified and assessed.
  • Present IAS issues and resolutions to various high level SLS control boards.
  • Provides expertise on topics or critical issues related to policy and implementation of CDM principles.
  • Manage SLS CM Open Work (Board actions, IAS Problem Reports (PRs), Data Product TBXs).
  • Provide SLS Program Milestone Review Assessment Report Deliverables (Open Work Audits) โ€“ DCR, CDR, FRR.
  • Support RFAs, RIDs, and PRs issue resolution/dispositions.
  • Support MSFC IAS/ EGS FSW Integrated Physical Configuration Audit CM team.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years' experience is required. Master's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with software CM tools such as JiRA and CMW/ Sharepoint are desired.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • Independent problem-solver.
  • Independently demonstrates specialized skills in CM.
  • Familiarity with NASA software development lifecycle a plus.
  • Avionics expertise and/or Systems Engineering and Integration expertise is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain clearance/access onsite at NASA MSFC is required (requires a STAR ID for badging).
  • US Citizenship required.
