Job Title: SAP Engineering Data CoordinatorJob Description

The SAP Engineering Data Coordinator supports the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of engineering and manufacturing master data within SAP ECC. This role focuses on material master creation, bill of materials (BOM) maintenance, plant extensions, engineering change implementation support, and product setup activities. The coordinator works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product Management teams to ensure product data is accurate, complete, and available to support planning, procurement, manufacturing, and new product introductions. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop expertise in SAP master data management, engineering change control, and manufacturing systems within a growing engineering organization, with an initial contract opportunity that may lead to full-time employment based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain material master records in SAP ECC to support engineering and manufacturing operations.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of engineering and manufacturing Bills of Material (BOMs) in SAP.
  • Create plant extensions and maintain all required material views within SAP ECC.
  • Update and maintain engineering product structures based on approved documentation and change records.
  • Perform data entry, validation, and verification activities to ensure master data accuracy and completeness.
  • Support routine master data audits and data quality reviews to maintain high data standards.
  • Assist with SAP transactions associated with Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Update materials, BOMs, and related master data in SAP based on approved engineering changes.
  • Track engineering change implementation activities and status to ensure timely execution.
  • Ensure all required documentation and approvals are complete prior to implementing changes in SAP.
  • Support the timely execution of engineering changes across impacted products and product lines.
  • Assist with SAP setup activities for new product development and product launches.
  • Support the creation of materials, BOMs, and manufacturing data for new products in SAP.
  • Verify product data accuracy prior to prototype, pilot, and production builds.
  • Coordinate product setup activities with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Support launch readiness activities and data validation efforts for new products.
  • Assist in investigating and resolving master data-related manufacturing issues within SAP ECC.
  • Support the analysis and correction of COGI errors and production transaction issues.
  • Perform data corrections and updates in SAP as directed to support manufacturing and planning.
  • Help validate master data required for MRP, production planning, purchasing, and inventory management.
  • Escalate issues requiring additional technical or functional review to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Follow established engineering data standards, procedures, and governance guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of SAP transactions and data changes.
  • Support data governance initiatives and process improvement activities related to master data.

Essential Skills
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, product data management, ERP administration, or related functions.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP ECC.
  • Knowledge of SAP MM (Materials Management) and PP (Production Planning) master data concepts.
  • Experience with material master creation and maintenance in an ERP environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
