Role - Senior Data Analyst Master Data Management (MDM)

Location - - : McLean, VA

Job Type- 12 + months Contracts

We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Data Analyst Master Data Management (MDM) to support enterprise-wide data management initiatives within the Multifamily Mortgage business.

This role will play a key part in defining and implementing Master Data Management (MDM) strategies that improve data quality, consistency, governance, and enterprise reporting. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in SQL, ETL, AWS cloud technologies, and enterprise data management with the ability to collaborate across business, product, architecture, engineering, and governance teams.

Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated financial services environment and possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives across the Multifamily Mortgage business.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, data stewards, architects, and engineering teams to define and govern critical data domains.
  • Analyze complex business processes and translate business requirements into scalable data management and governance solutions.
  • Design, develop, and optimize advanced SQL queries, ETL processes, and data pipelines supporting enterprise reporting and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data quality rules, validation processes, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Create and support MDM implementation roadmaps, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and success metrics.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to leverage AWS services for scalable and secure data integration solutions.
  • Support enterprise data governance initiatives, including metadata management, data lineage, business glossary development, and reference data management.
  • Present analytical insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in data management, governance, and analytics.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Management, Data Engineering, or Master Data Management.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with advanced SQL, including complex query development, performance optimization, and data analysis.
  • Extensive experience designing and supporting ETL processes and enterprise data integration solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM), enterprise data governance, metadata management, reference data management, and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience creating implementation roadmaps and supporting enterprise-wide data initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud technologies, including services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, EMR, or RDS.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across business, technology, governance, architecture, and engineering teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Experience working within mortgage, housing finance, banking, or financial services environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience supporting Multifamily Mortgage business processes, including loan origination, underwriting, servicing, asset management, or securitization.
  • Experience with enterprise MDM platforms such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, Semarchy, Profisee, or SAP MDG.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or DCAM.
  • Experience with Snowflake or other modern cloud-based data platforms.
