Project Manager – Building Restoration

Location: Calgary, AB

About the Opportunity

Our client is a respected multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm with a strong presence in Western Canada. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Project Manager – Building Restoration to their Calgary team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys leading restoration projects from initial investigation through construction completion while collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage building restoration projects from planning and design through construction and project close-out.

  • Conduct site investigations, condition assessments, and building envelope evaluations.

  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, repair details, and construction documents.

  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client communication.

  • Administer contracts during construction, including site reviews, progress meetings, shop drawing reviews, change orders, and payment certifications.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and property owners to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Support proposal preparation, fee estimates, and client development activities.

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical excellence within the group.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building restoration, structural rehabilitation, or building envelope consulting.

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Alberta or eligibility to obtain registration with APEGA.

  • Strong knowledge of building restoration principles, contract administration, and project management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and client relationship management abilities.

  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
