Job Description:
Looking for a Manufacturing Technician 2 to support our Speargun Program. This position will serve on-site at 2601 Oxnard, CA, 93030.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.
  • Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.
  • Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Above average experience/working knowledge of all basic mechanical hand tools (i.e. wrenches, ratchets, sockets, hex bits, measurment devices).
  • An ability to read/understand basic mechanical drawings.
  • An above average understanding of "5S" principles specific to a mechanical assembly environment.
  • An above average ability to work cohesively with other Team members specific to a mechanical assembly environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior professional experience working with Aerospace components and/or assemblies in a cleanroom environment.
  • Experience with application of professional-grade adhesives (i.e. two-part epoxies, mixing in fume hoods, masking).
  • Operational experience with large Gantry-style overhead cranes.
  • Workplace experience with computer-based training, computer-based time keeping and computer-based work instructions
