Position Overview

Marvelous Counseling Services is seeking compassionate and qualified Mental Health Counselors to join our dedicated team. Work Environment

As a mental health therapist at Marvelous Counseling Services, you will engage with patients in a remote setting, allowing you flexibility while maintaining work-life balance. Our team operates Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some scheduling flexibility may be necessary to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to ascertain patients’ needs, enabling the development of tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver individual therapy and group sessions rooted in evidence-based approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups that foster community support and address common mental health issues among participants.
• Collaborate actively with our interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate holistic care for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention services to address urgent mental health situations, ensuring immediate support and stabilization.
• Educate patients on mental health disorders, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them on their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities to keep skills current.
• Stay informed on the latest research and methodologies in mental health treatment to continuously improve patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve at Marvelous Counseling Services encompass a diverse demographic, including young adults, families, and older individuals. Our practice is designed to address various mental health concerns, from routine anxiety to complex behavioral health issues. By adopting a patient-centered approach, you will help clients navigate their unique challenges and support their journey toward recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
• Proven knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment modalities, along with strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Demonstrated experience providing therapeutic services to a broad range of individuals and groups.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building rapport with patients and colleagues.
• Commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and adherence to confidentiality standards.
• Competence with electronic health records (EHR) and general computer applications.
• Desire to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in conducting group therapy sessions and psychoeducation for patients with varying mental health concerns is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with integrated care models and community resources will be an advantage.
• Previous experience in a community health or outpatient setting will be beneficial in understanding the needs of our patient population.

Compensation and Benefits
