Associates will work closely within our litigation teams for national and regional clients to handle litigation in Delaware’s federal and state courts. Applicants should have impressive academic credentials and demonstrated interest in trial practice involving mass tort litigation, product liability, commercial litigation and general liability.

Maron Marvel has an immediate opening for an associate attorney to join its Wilmington office. Successful candidates will have exceptional research, writing, and litigation skills, and the ability to handle a broad spectrum of civil cases.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactive case management from start to finish in both state and federal courts.
  • Drafting of pleadings, written discovery, and dispositive motions.
  • Comprehensive legal analysis, case evaluations, and strategy recommendations.
  • Deposition taking of key fact and expert witnesses.
  • Preparation of case updates and handling of client communications as requested.
  • Ability to work closely with paralegals to ensure efficient case management.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in Delaware. Bar admission in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Maryland is a plus.
  • 5-10 years litigation experience; some toxic tort experience preferred
  • Highly motivated self-starter with exceptional work ethic, passionate, proactive, and deeply curious and eager to understand both our work and the methods behind it.
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to manage caseload proactively from start to finish.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to self-manage and work in a team environment.
  • Strong research ability and written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Desire to deliver exceptional client service and contribute to continued client development.
