The firm serves as national, regional, and trial counsel to Fortune 500 companies with multiple operations located in the most dangerous plaintiff jurisdictions in the country. Maron Marvel's clients come from the energy, construction, manufacturing, technology, transportation, insurance, and liability-related industries. In addition to mass toxic torts, the firm also offers legal services concerning commercial disputes and liability-related defense.

Maron Marvel has an immediate opening for a Legal Billing Specialist to join our team in its Wilmington office. The candidate must possess excellent communication, problem-solving and time management skills.

DUTIES:

  • Responsible for firm legal billing including working with external electronic billing applications.
  • Apply and edit time entries; finalize and distribute billings.
  • Monitor and maintain firm client databases.
  • Monitor and quality control of firm billing and firm conflict checks.
  • Prepare accountings of client accounts for attorneys.
  • Research client billing inquiries and respond to them.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on trends in firm costs.
  • Assist Accounting Department with special projects as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of legal billing experience
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Preferred to be experienced using legal software such as Aderant, 3E, Surepoint.
