Director of Sales & Marketing - Aloft Doral by Marriott | Element Doral by Marriott

Are you a results-driven sales leader ready to take the helm of two dynamic, design-forward Marriott brands under one roof?

Aloft Doral and Element Doral are seeking an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to lead our combined sales and revenue strategy in one of Miami's most competitive hospitality markets.

In this role, you'll own the full sales and marketing engine for both properties - from group and catering business to transient and corporate accounts - while building lasting relationships with key clients, travel partners, and the local business community.

You'll partner closely with above-property leadership and revenue management to shape pricing strategy, forecast demand, and identify new revenue opportunities across both the modern, tech-forward Aloft brand and the extended-stay, wellness-focused Element brand.

This is an ideal opportunity for a sales leader who thrives on autonomy, enjoys the challenge of managing two distinct brand identities simultaneously, and wants to make a visible, measurable impact on property performance. You'll lead a talented sales team, represent both hotels at industry events, and play a key role in positioning Aloft Doral and Element Doral as top choices in their respective segments.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for both properties to achieve revenue, occupancy, and market share goals
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, including setting individual and team production goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate accounts, travel agencies, group planners, and local business partners
  • Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and demand generators using industry reporting tools to inform strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with above-property revenue management on pricing, forecasting, and inventory strategy
  • Oversee group sales, catering, and event bookings from inquiry through execution
  • Represent both properties at industry events, trade shows, and community and networking functions
  • Prepare and present sales performance reports, forecasts, and strategic plans to ownership and above-property leadership
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards for Aloft and Element
  • Manage sales department budget and expenses

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing or Senior Sales Manager in the hotel/hospitality industry
  • Prior experience with Marriott-branded properties strongly preferred; multi-property or dual-branded experience a plus
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and sales production goals
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of and hands-on experience with the following systems:
    • Marriott CI/TY (Salesforce)
    • Marriott Global Source (MGS)
    • Empower: Guest Experience Platform
    • LightSpeed Property Management System
    • Cvent and Cvent Supplier Network
    • Lanyon
    • Delphi / Amadeus Sales & Event Management
    • STS
    • Marriott Group Sales tools
    • Marriott Bonvoy programs and promotions
    • Marriott Business Access by Marriott Bonvoy
    • TravelClick / Amadeus Demand360
    • Agency360 and RevenueStrategy360
    • STR and STAR Reports
    • Hotelligence360
    • Three (3) professional references required, including name, title, company, relationship to applicant, and current contact information

Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, a cell phone allowance, mileage reimbursement for approved business travel, paid time off, complimentary lunch during scheduled shifts, and Marriott employee hotel discounts.

This company is an equal opportunity employer.
