Security Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.

  • Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty, including assisting with directions and general business information.
  • Control access for tenants, visitors or vendors as required.
  • Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Marksman Security management.
  • Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Excellent customer service, professionalism and communication skills.
  • An understanding of basic computer skills.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
  • Valid Drivers License, where applicable.
  • Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background and fingerprint investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • At least 2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience.
