Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Operate marking equipment including electro-etching units, laser engravers, dot peening units, and ink stampers to label parts accurately.
  • Inspect parts for correct identification and quality standards before and after marking.
  • Perform wrapping, boxing, and labeling of parts according to packaging specifications and customer requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols and production procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Record job completion details and report any defects or equipment issues to supervisors.

Education:
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

Experience:
  • 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficiency in operating marking equipment and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate labeling and defect detection.
  • Effective manual dexterity for wrapping and boxing parts efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills for logging work or referencing job instructions.
  • Good time management to meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
  • Capability to lift and handle parts of varying sizes and weights up to 25lbs.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Capacity to maintain focus during repetitive tasks.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing production needs.

Physical & Environmental Factors:
Physical Requirements: Standing for extended periods, repetitive hand and arm movements, lifting and carrying up to 25lbs, and manual dexterity for handling small components and operating marking equipment.
Environmental Conditions: Exposure to industrial noise, working around marking chemicals (e.g., ink, etching solutions) with proper PPE, and temperature variations. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders] or have refugee or asylee status.
Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California.  The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Pay Range: $17.00 to $19.00/hour.
