About the Role:
The Senior New Business Sales Executive will play a critical role in driving strategic revenue growth across Dow Jones' Corporate product portfolio, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, and MarketWatch.
This role goes beyond individual contribution, requiring a highly experienced seller who can own complex sales cycles, influence senior stakeholders, and shape go-to-market strategies. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing high-value new business opportunities, including expansion into new buying centers within enterprise organizations.
As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior sellers, contribute to sales strategy, and partner cross-functionally to optimize performance and market penetration.

You Will:

  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from prospecting through close
  • Identify and penetrate new buying centers within large, strategic accounts
Develop and Execute Market Strategy
  • Conduct advanced market segmentation and territory planning to identify high-impact opportunities
  • Design and execute targeted, multi-channel outreach campaigns (phone, email, social, events)
  • Contribute to broader sales and go-to-market strategies
Own Executive-Level Client Engagement
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers and C-suite stakeholders
  • Lead consultative sales conversations aligned to clients' strategic priorities
  • Deliver compelling value propositions and tailored solutions
Pipeline & Forecast Leadership
  • Maintain a robust, high-quality pipeline with strong conversion metrics
  • Deliver accurate forecasting and provide insights to leadership on trends and risks
  • Leverage CRM data to drive strategic decision-making and pipeline optimization
Product & Industry Expertise
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Dow Jones Corporate products and solutions
  • Maintain deep understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and client challenges
  • Translate insights into impactful client conversations and solution positioning
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Partner with marketing, product, and customer success teams to enhance sales effectiveness
  • Share best practices and mentor junior team members to elevate team performance
  • Act as a leader within the sales organization, influencing culture and performance standards

You Have:
  • 7-10 years of proven success in new business sales, preferably within subscription-based, data, or SaaS environments
  • Demonstrated ability to close complex, enterprise-level deals, including Fortune 1000 clients
  • Strong track record of consistently exceeding quota in competitive markets
  • Expertise in consultative and solution-based selling methodologies
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills
  • Advanced negotiation and closing capabilities
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align solutions to strategic client objectives
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to operate independently while influencing cross-functional teams
  • Experience mentoring or leading peers is strongly preferred
