Job description

Harvest Preparatory Academy is seeking an outgoing, professional, and enthusiastic Marketing & Community Engagement Intern to assist with marketing events, community outreach, prospective family engagement, and event content.


This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for an individual interested in pursuing or gaining experience in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field. The intern will gain hands-on experience representing an organization at community events, interacting with prospective families, supporting marketing initiatives, and capturing content that can be used across HPA's marketing and social media platforms.


This position is part-time and on-call, with hours primarily based on scheduled events. Candidates must have flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holiday/community events. This position is located in the Greater Yuma Area which may include events in Yuma, Arizona, Somerton, Arizona, and San Luis, Arizona. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and assist with HPA marketing, enrollment, and community events.
  • Represent HPA in a professional, welcoming, and positive manner.
  • Engage with prospective parents and families and provide general information about HPA.
  • Assist with event setup, coordination, operation, and breakdown.
  • Help distribute marketing and enrollment materials at community events.
  • Assist with gathering prospective family information and enrollment leads.
  • Participate in public speaking, presentations, and conversations with individuals or groups at events.
  • Capture quality photos and short-form video content during events for use on HPA's social media and marketing platforms.
  • Identify engaging moments, activities, and interactions to capture during events.
  • Assist with basic organization and submission of event photos and video content.
  • Assist the marketing team with promotional activities, content needs, and special projects as needed.
  • Help create a positive and engaging experience for prospective families and community members.


Qualifications

  • Interest in marketing, public relations, communications, social media, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with prospective parents, families, and members of the public.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and representing HPA at community events.
