As the Principal Manager, Marketing AI Strategy & Transformation, you will shape the enterprise Marketing AI vision and roadmap, helping transform emerging AI capabilities into scalable business solutions that drive measurable impact.

This highly visible senior individual contributor role partners across Corporate Marketing, business units, enterprise AI teams and functional leaders to identify high-value opportunities, prioritize investments, and accelerate the adoption of AI-powered solutions. You will help marketers work smarter, simplify complex processes, improve customer engagement and commercial effectiveness, and enable faster, data-driven decision-making across the product life cycle.

Success in this role requires strategic thinking, strong business acumen, exceptional influence and collaboration skills, and the ability to translate rapidly evolving AI technologies into practical business value while ensuring responsible governance and compliance.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Create an integrated Marketing AI strategy and roadmap across Corporate Marketing, BUs, regions, and enterprise AI initiatives.
  • Identify, prioritize, and shape high-value AI use cases across marketing, content, insights, sales/customer enablement, and digital experience.
  • Assess the right pathway for each opportunity: embedded platform capability, custom AI solution, process redesign, vendor solution, or no-AI alternative. 
  • Develop strategic AI business cases, prioritization criteria, milestones, success measures, and MVP-to-scale plans for priority use cases.  Partner divisional AI councils to ensure alignment and approval.
  • Maintain visibility across Corporate Affairs, Commercial AI and BU marketing AI pilots, tools, owners, dependencies, and best practices to reduce duplication and accelerate scaling.
  • Represent Marketing in enterprise and BU AI/transformation initiatives to ensure marketing needs, governance requirements, and workflow implications are addressed.
  • Builds practical guardrails, and decision frameworks that help marketing teams move faster while staying aligned with privacy, compliance, brand, quality, and responsible AI expectations
  • Advise marketing leaders and teams on when and how AI should be applied, when it should not be applied, and what change management or governance is required.
  • Partners with Data Science, AI engineering, Digital, Content, Marketing Operations, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Commercial AI, and change-management partners to move ideas into practical execution.
  • Support AI literacy, champion networks, communities of practice, adoption playbooks, best-practice forums, and communications that help marketers use AI responsibly and effectively.
  • Define and track common KPIs for AI adoption, maturity, workflow efficiency, business impact, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in marketing,  commercial enablement, or capability transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic enterprise initiatives and influence outcomes in a matrixed global organization without direct authority.
  • Strong understanding of how marketing, content, campaigns, customer experience, and commercial enablement programs are developed, approved, measured, and delivered.
  • Practical experience applying AI or automation in business contexts beyond basic prompting, preferably in marketing, communications, insights, operations, content, digital experience, or customer engagement.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of generative AI, automation, data-enabled workflows, and responsible AI; hands-on technical depth or coding is beneficial but not required.
  • Exceptional communication, executive storytelling, facilitation, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-framing skills.
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated or brand-sensitive industry preferred.
Preferred Capabilities
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or other large language models; ability to evaluate practical strengths, limitations, and risks.
  • Experience designing capability-building programs, change-management efforts, champion networks, or communities of practice.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with CRM, data solutions, analytics tools, workflow platforms, APIs, or low-code/no-code AI tools is a plus.
  • Intellectually curious, pragmatic, collaborative, detail-oriented, data-driven, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
