The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Manager, CV (Heavy Duty) Programs + Marketing to play a key role in the development of impactful Aftermarket and Original Equipment commercial vehicle programming that connects our members to critical market insights and strengthens MEMA's role as the leading voice for the commercial vehicle supplier community.
In this role, you will help shape the industry conversations that matter most to commercial vehicle suppliers. Working closely with MEMA leadership, members, and cross functional teams, you will drive the planning of content and other logistics for our commercial vehicle meetings and events such as Heavy Duty Advanced Technology Council and Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue.
This position plays a central role in curating meaningful industry dialogue, strengthening member engagement, and elevating MEMA's commercial vehicle platform with a primary focus on Original Equipment while also contributing to Aftermarket programming.
What You'll Do:
  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of Original Equipment and Aftermarket commercial vehicle member services and programming including agenda development, content, speakers, logistics, and sponsorship integration. This includes Commercial Vehicle related meetings, councils, webinars, and other forums, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Partner with the Strategic Communications team to shape the commercial vehicle communications strategy and brand positioning, strengthening MEMA's value proposition and elevating the visibility of its commercial vehicle initiatives.
  • Stay up to date on commercial vehicle market trends and translate intelligence into actionable insights for our member companies and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Original Equipment and Aftermarket commercial vehicle programming and content strategy, helping to establish clear priorities and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with organizational goals.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to deliver well executed programs that drive strong member participation and engagement.
  • Represent MEMA at a variety of industry meetings and events, helping to build relationships with member companies and key industry stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial vehicle, heavy-duty, freight, automotive, or association roles.
  • Experience contributing to brand positioning and communications strategies to elevate visibility and engagement of our commercial vehicle programs.
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle industry, regulatory landscape, and vehicle supply chain dynamics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Proven experience developing content and programming such as webinars, panels, briefings.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills with the ability to engage industry leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Passion for MEMA's mission, vision, and member impact.

This is a hybrid role based in Southfield, Michigan or surrounding areas with regular in person collaboration at MEMA's Southfield, Michigan office. Approximately 10-15% of travel is required.
