Job Description

Position Summary

GGP has an immediate need for a Marketing Assistant on-site at Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, Nevada.

Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, this position will assist in all promotional and marketing related functions at the Center. Key responsibilities include planning and executing all events at the Center, driving traffic and sales through promotions, and general administrative/clerical duties.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Marketing Manager/department to assist with the execution of plans and strategies, including, but not limited to:

  • Bring signature and marketing promotions to success by securing merchant opt-ins, creating participation forms and logging offers
  • Support marketing programs and experiences
  • Merchant communication/relations including distribution of collateral for events and promotions, issuing memos/notifications, public relations, social media etc.
  • Assist with the overall branding, marketing, and visuals for the Center
  • Create and distribute monthly merchant newsletter
  • Work with creative team to proof directories and collateral pieces
  • Traffic creative assets to Channel team and advertising partners
  • Authoring and publishing website content
  • Attend and execute all Center-wide promotions and events, including some evenings and weekends
  • Work with Legal on Vendor agreements and insurance
  • Contract execution
  • Work with Operations on submitting work orders, and insurance
  • Work with Vendors to submit orders, oversee quantities and placements for all in-center signage
  • Maintain event equipment, storage spaces, key logs and inventory of marketing supplies
  • Support Property Management on all Community based events
  • Attend meetings with internal marketing and cross functional departments including external agencies and The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, as needed
  • Handle miscellaneous administrative duties including answering phones, customer service, scheduling meetings, making copies, filing, ordering supplies, errands, reconcile billing statements and invoices, etc.
  • Other projects/duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or related field preferred
Experience
  • 1+ years marketing experience, tourism/hospitality experience a plus
  • Digital marketing experience a plus
  • Experience with managing many tasks simultaneously
  • Experience invoices/contract management a plus
Skills
  • Detail-oriented and efficiency-minded
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and establish priorities
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Basic understanding of working within a budget and accounting
