Job Description
ROLE of the POSITION
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, invites applications for the Program & Marketing Manager, UNLV Gaming Regulation, Program Support (Flexible Work Schedule) [R0151571]
The International Center for Gaming Regulation ("the Center") advances local and global collaborative efforts to enhance the rigor and science of gaming regulation. The Center will work with regulators, operators, and suppliers worldwide to ensure that they have current information, best practices, and tools; promote research to enhance understanding of the gaming industry; and advocate for consistent, effective standards where appropriate. In pursuing its objectives, the Center will offer the highest levels of information, research, knowledge, networking, and instruction available on gaming regulation to a global audience. This position exists to support the above mission. The Program & Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the self-sustaining efforts associated with the Center's educational and for-profit activities.
The Program & Marketing Manager will work closely with the Center's Executive leadership and the Business Manager to serve as the program and production leader responsible for marketing, organizing, and managing on-site and virtual program data, logistics, and execution for open-enrollment and custom programs. Overall, this person will be responsible for all program marketing efforts, program invoicing and receipt preparation and distribution, budgeting, programming, management, and execution of all open-enrollment training, education, and best practice programs; manage seminars, faculty development programs, and informational round tables as assigned by the Center's leadership. The candidate will ensure individual program budgets align with the Center's revenue goals and long-term sustainability. The candidate must be able to manage and execute the above responsibilities while advancing the Center's vision and mission as the global intellectual capital for gaming regulation, law, compliance, and governance. Failure to do so would result in the loss of funding and complications in managing programs and research.
Additionally, the applicant must be able to think and act quickly, as the department's dynamics change frequently. This role requires an extremely high level of responsibility and accountability and involves making independent decisions daily to maintain the Center's mission and objectives. A background in marketing and program management is required, as well as the ability to work independently and efficiently, with a high level of responsiveness, in a small-team environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or University as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and 3- 5 years of related professional experience.
Credentials must be obtained before employment begins.
  • Strong knowledge and experience using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as social media, including LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Previous industry or educational program management experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, coordination of multiple projects, and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of initiative and the ability to take personal ownership, going beyond assigned tasks to improve the project Execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a small team environment.
  • Ability to work independently with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to create clear and direct marketing, budgeting, and profit and loss plans and statements.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work assignments.
  • Ability to work with confidential information, maintain a high level of discretion, and integrity.
  • Ability to host, direct, and coordinate small and large group functions in an online and in-person environment.
  • Ability to speak calmly and confidently during educational and/or hosted events.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of the hospitality and/or gaming industry as it relates to current trends in gaming regulation and its competitors.
  • Knowledge and expertise using Adobe Suite.
  • Knowledge of online meeting software such as Zoom and Webex.
  • Knowledge of marketing, survey tools, and databases, including Constant Contact and Qualtrics.

Salary range is $55,000 to $63,500. Unable to offer more than the stated salary range.
