About the Role

The Business Portfolio Manager (Marketing) is a senior individual contributor within BetMGM's PMO, responsible for leading the Marketing portfolio and driving the successful delivery of complex, cross functional marketing programs that support customer growth, engagement, and retention.

In this role, you will act as both a portfolio leader and program delivery owner, and as a strategic partner to Marketing leadership, enabling confident decision-making and predictable execution. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to frame options, surface trade-offs, and guide decisions that shape how Marketing strategy is translated into measurable outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong program delivery leadership with a portfolio level mindset, someone who enjoys orchestrating work across teams, navigating ambiguity, and turning strategy into predictable results

Responsibilities

Marketing Portfolio Management

  • Own daytoday portfolio management for Marketing initiatives, ensuring work is aligned to strategy, prioritized against capacity, and sequenced effectively.

  • Partner with Marketing leaders to identify, shape, and intake new initiatives, assessing scope, dependencies, and execution complexity.

  • Maintain and actively manage the Marketing portfolio roadmap, including interdependencies, risks, and key milestones.

  • Provide regular portfoliolevel reporting focused on delivery confidence, outcomes, risks, and required decisions.

Program Delivery & Execution Ownership

  • Lead priority Marketing programs from initiation through delivery, with accountability for scope, timeline, and delivery outcomes.

  • Establish clear program structures, success criteria, milestones, and ownership models across participating teams.

  • Drive crossfunctional alignment across Marketing, Media, CRM, Analytics, Finance, Product, Technology, and Compliance to ensure coordinated execution.

  • Track delivery progress, proactively identify risks and delivery gaps, and implement mitigation plans to keep programs on track.

  • Escalate delivery issues with clear context, options, and recommendations to enable timely decisionmaking.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to Marketing leaders by enabling clear, data-informed decision-making across the portfolio.

  • Actively engage senior stakeholders to understand business objectives, constraints, and trade-offs, translating them into executable program plans.

  • Prepare decision-ready perspectives by framing options, implications, risks, and recommendations for portfolio and program-level decisions.

  • Facilitate portfolio governance by designing and executing forums that promote clarity, accountability, and alignment-rather than process for process' sake.

  • Partner closely with Finance, BI, Analytics, and other enabling teams to support initiatives requiring new forecasting models, goal frameworks, or measurement approaches.

  • Proactively identify where decisions are blocked or unclear and drive resolution by aligning the right stakeholders around a path forward.

  • Ensure leadership has confidence not just in what is planned, but in what can be executed and delivered.

Operational Excellence

  • Reinforce PMO standards and delivery discipline while adapting governance approaches to support Marketing's pace, experimentation, and evolving needs.

  • Contribute to a connected PMO model by collaborating with other Business Portfolio Managers on shared dependencies and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience leading program delivery and portfolio execution in a marketing, digital, or technologydriven environment.

  • Demonstrated success delivering complex, crossfunctional initiatives endtoend.

  • Strong understanding of Marketing operating models, including CRM, Media, Brand, Analytics, or Lifecycle programs.

  • Proven ability to influence without authority and align diverse stakeholders around shared delivery outcomes.

  • Strong execution discipline, with the ability to balance structure and agility.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executivelevel updates.

  • Analytical and structured problemsolver comfortable working with data, ambiguity, and evolving requirements.

  • Familiarity with PMO practices, governance models, and delivery frameworks.

  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., iGaming, financial services, healthcare, etc.) preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience a plus.

Compensation
