Job Description

The Senior Manager, Marketing operations role will serve as a critical connection between marketing strategy, tactical execution, and day-to-day operations to support the brand. Key aspects of this role include the management of the promotional, medical, regulatory, and compliance (PMRC) review committee, key exhibit planning including large medical congresses and regional exhibits, managing printing, fulfilment, and warehousing, contract management, and logistical support for commercial meetings.  The person in this role will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization including but not limited to Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Training, Regulatory, Medical, Legal and Compliance teams, as well as external agency partners.  An effective candidate for this role will be detail-oriented, proactive, and act with a sense of urgency to pull through on critical marketing operations initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the PMRC process (30%)

  • Effectively manage the day-to-day operations for PMRC meetings, agendas, and recaps
  • Become the expert and admin for the PMRC system and process
  • Partner with project owners/agencies to ensure successful submission workflows
  • Continually evaluate process to identify opportunities to maximize efficiency and output
  • Ensure effective training/onboarding for internal stakeholders and agency partners

Facilitate Congress Planning and Execution (30%)

  • Execute congress strategy through collaboration with Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs and Sales
  • Collaborate with congress organizations and societies to negotiate contracts for booth exhibits and/or sponsorship agreements
  • Work with agency partners to develop and maintain exhibits for national, regional, and local congresses
  • Support KOL programming including advisory boards and speaker bureau management
  • Develop and implement measurement plan to evaluate ROI on national and regional congresses
  • Build and maintain annual congress budget
  • Regional Tradeshow Support
  • Process contracts and pull through logistics for field-based exhibits
  • Support field team in the execution of field-based exhibits

Manage and Optimize Print and Fulfillment  (10%)

  • Liaise with the marketing team and vendors on printing and fulfilment needs
  • Maintain inventory status of key marketing materials, ensuring business continuity in cost effective manners
  • Be accountable for production, inventory, tracking, and distribution of promotional materials
  • Evaluate and refine print/fulfillment model as needed
  • Maintain print and fulfilment budget

Budget Accruals, MSAs and SoWs  (15%)

  • Aggregate and roll up monthly budget accruals
  • Process MSAs and SoWs

Support Commercial Meetings  (15%)

      Play a supporting role the planning and execution of critical commercial meetings (e.g., National Sales Meeting, POAs, etc.)

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Masters with 8+ years of experience
  • Exceptional understanding of Marketing Operations and project management, and marketing processes
  • In depth expertise in Pharmaceutical Promotional/Marketing Services and knowledge of related disciplines - Pharmaceutical Marketing, Medical, Managed Markets, Marketing Agencies, Sourcing
  • Proficiency with Veeva Promomats or similar review system and strong computer aptitude with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple ongoing projects/workstreams with and without specific direction and a strong sense of urgency
  • Experience in print production within a pharmaceutical company or advertising agency a plus
  • Experience with detailed meeting logistics planning required to execute NSM, POAs, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong critical thinking skills and can take a holistic view of the business in order to ensure efficiencies and alignment with Marketing and other cross functional teams

Preferred Capabilities

  • Project Management Degree
  • Experience working on a launch brand preferred

Deciphera is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary pay range for this role is $130,000-$179,000. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to depth of experience, education, skillset, overall performance and/or location.
