Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (like HubSpot or Marketo), CRM systems, and analytics tools is typically required, along with certifications such as Salesforce or Google Analytics. A marketing operations manager supervises marketing department staff to maintain productivity and smooth operations. Unlike a marketing project manager who focuses on a particular marketing campaign, a marketing operations manager oversees the overall marketing department and ensures the staff meets their goals. Job duties include evaluating market trends to develop new marketing strategies, creating department goals, delegating project tasks to employees, and training new marketing employees. Qualifications for this career include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field, extensive marketing experience, and leadership skills.

What are some common challenges faced by marketing operations managers when aligning marketing technology with organizational goals?

Marketing Operations Managers often encounter challenges when ensuring that marketing technology stacks effectively support broader business objectives. Integrating new tools with existing systems, maintaining data accuracy across platforms, and securing buy-in from cross-functional teams can be complex. Additionally, staying updated with rapidly evolving marketing technologies while balancing cost and utility requires ongoing attention. Successful Marketing Operations Managers proactively communicate with stakeholders, regularly evaluate tech performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to address these hurdles.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marketing Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing marketing operations, driving efficiency, and enhancing the effectiveness of our campaigns. This individual will leverage their expertise in tools like Marketo and Salesforce to manage campaigns, streamline processes, and contribute to Navan’s growth trajectory.

This is a global role requiring close collaboration with teams in different time zones, including regular interaction with colleagues in Israel.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee and manage the configuration, maintenance, and hands‑on creation of campaigns in Marketo, ensuring strategic alignment and flawless execution.
  • Ensure seamless integration and functionality of the marketing technology stack, aligned with business objectives.
  • Optimize marketing and sales processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other teams across time zones to drive integrated campaigns and improve data quality.
  • Monitor and refine lead enrichment, scoring, and qualification processes to improve lead management.
  • Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and analysis to support data‑driven decisions.
  • Manage data governance and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations in global markets.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience in marketing operations or technology will also be considered.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in marketing operations, ideally in global SaaS or technology companies.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience configuring and managing campaigns in Marketo and Salesforce CRM, with a proven track record of optimizing engagement for large‑scale databases.
  • Deep understanding of lead management, campaign optimization, and marketing analytics.
  • Expertise in database management, platform integrations, and marketing technology tools (experience with Full Circle Insights, ThoughtSpot, outreach, or Chili Piper is a plus).
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, able to effectively manage projects and collaborate across global teams.
  • Marketo certification and familiarity with attribution modeling are strong advantages.
Additional Expectations
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Willingness to align working hours with a global based team, including early mornings or late evenings, as required.
