Job description

Marketing Manager

Canton, MA | Full-Time | In-Office | Salaried

About the Role

Prestige Car Wash & Gas is seeking an experienced, confident, and highly accountable Marketing Manager to lead and take ownership of our marketing department across a growing, multi-location organization.

This is not a first-time management opportunity. We are looking for a proven marketing leader who has successfully managed a marketing team, projects, campaigns, competing priorities, and deadlines and is ready to take ownership of a fast-moving department.

The right person will be both a marketing leader and a strong operator. They will be expected to bring ideas to the table, establish priorities, create structure, manage and develop their team, drive projects forward, and ensure marketing initiatives move from concept through execution.

We are specifically looking for someone who brings marketing ideas, opportunities, and recommendations to company leadership rather than waiting for leadership to provide the marketing plan. This person should constantly be thinking ahead about what we should be promoting, what opportunities we may be missing, what our competitors are doing, what is working, what is not, and what Prestige should be doing next.

Prestige is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, family-owned organization. Our owners are highly involved in the business, move quickly, communicate directly, and frequently bring new ideas and opportunities to the table. The Marketing Manager must be confident working directly with ownership, managing competing priorities, asking the right questions, providing professional recommendations, and turning fast-moving conversations into organized, actionable marketing plans.

This role requires confidence, resilience, direct communication, strong follow-through, and the ability to work effectively with strong personalities. Feedback can be direct and priorities can change quickly. The successful candidate should be able to receive feedback professionally, adapt when needed, and keep projects and people moving forward.

Leadership should not need to repeatedly request updates, remind the department of deadlines, or follow up to determine whether an assignment has been completed. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates proactively, identifies potential issues before they become problems, and follows projects through completion.

We are hiring you for your marketing expertise and want you to have an opinion. We expect our Marketing Manager to bring ideas, recommendations, solutions, and opportunities to leadership and to professionally speak up when their experience supports a particular strategy or approach.

Responsibilities
  • Own and lead the overall marketing strategy and day-to-day operation of the Prestige marketing department.
  • Proactively develop and present marketing ideas, campaigns, promotions, opportunities, performance results, and strategic recommendations to ownership and senior leadership.
  • Build and manage the overall marketing calendar across promotions, social media, email, SMS, website, digital advertising, events, community initiatives, seasonal campaigns, and grand openings.
  • Translate ideas and conversations with leadership into clear plans, priorities, assignments, responsibilities, and deadlines.
  • Directly manage and develop the marketing team by establishing clear expectations, delegating effectively, providing feedback, managing performance, and holding team members accountable for results.
  • Proactively follow up on projects and assignments to ensure deadlines are met without requiring reminders from leadership.
  • Identify delays, obstacles, or competing priorities early and develop solutions before they become problems.
  • Oversee social media, content creation, email marketing, SMS, website content, digital advertising, promotions, events, sponsorships, community marketing, and overall brand initiatives.
  • Review creative work and provide clear direction to ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy across Prestige's brand voice, messaging, visual identity, promotions, pricing, dates, locations, and customer-facing communications.
  • Support marketing strategy and execution for new-location openings and continued company expansion.
  • Manage outside vendors, agencies, printers, photographers, videographers, media partners, and other marketing resources as needed.
  • Review campaign and channel performance and translate results into meaningful recommendations, improvements, and next steps.
  • Stay informed on competitors, consumer trends, emerging platforms, marketing technology, and new opportunities relevant to the Prestige brand.
  • Develop structure, processes, and accountability within the department to support continued company growth.
Brand & Community Representation

The Marketing Manager will also serve as a public-facing representative of Prestige Car Wash & Gas and should be confident representing the company outside of the office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with vendors, community organizations, local businesses, municipalities, schools, nonprofits, and other community partners.
  • Represent Prestige at in-person meetings, community events, grand openings, sponsorships, fundraising initiatives, donation presentations, giveaways, and other company activities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for community partnerships, sponsorships, charitable initiatives, and local marketing efforts that strengthen Prestige's presence in the communities we serve.
  • Confidently communicate with town and city representatives when coordinating community initiatives, donations, events, partnerships, and local marketing opportunities.
  • Be comfortable meeting and engaging with customers during promotions, giveaways, events, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Be comfortable appearing in photos, videos, social media content, interviews, and other marketing materials and speaking on behalf of the Marketing Department as a professional representative of the Prestige brand.
AI & Marketing Innovation

Prestige is actively expanding the use of AI and emerging technology throughout our marketing department.

The Marketing Manager does not need to be our technical AI expert; however, this person must be AI-forward, curious, and comfortable leading a department that actively incorporates AI into its creative and marketing processes.

The Marketing Manager will be expected to:

  • Understand the growing role and capabilities of AI in modern marketing.
  • Effectively manage and collaborate with team members specializing in AI-powered content creation and marketing technology.
  • Identify opportunities where AI can improve creativity, efficiency, content production, personalization, analytics, workflows, and campaign execution.
  • Encourage the exploration and implementation of new AI tools while maintaining appropriate brand standards and human oversight.
  • Support the development of AI-enabled workflows throughout the marketing department and continually evaluate how emerging technology can strengthen the Prestige brand and marketing operation.

We want a leader who sees evolving technology and asks, "How can we use this?"

Required Skills & Experience
  • Previous successful experience directly managing a marketing team is required. This cannot be your first management role.
  • Demonstrated professional marketing experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience developing and executing multi-channel marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, content, email, SMS, websites, promotions, events, community marketing, and brand management.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate original marketing ideas and translate strategy into successful execution.
  • Experience managing multiple employees, projects, priorities, approvals, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong project-management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience communicating directly and confidently with executives, company owners, or senior leadership.
  • Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and move projects forward without requiring constant direction.
  • Comfortable receiving direct feedback, managing disagreement professionally, and adapting quickly when priorities change.
  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics and the ability to translate performance into actionable recommendations.
  • Comfortable serving as a public-facing representative of the company in meetings, events, customer interactions, photography, video content, and other brand-facing opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of AI and emerging marketing technologies with enthusiasm for continuing to expand their use.
  • Ability to create structure and maintain accountability within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Schedule & Availability

This is a full-time, salaried, in-office position based in Canton, Massachusetts.

The majority of work will take place during normal business hours. However, Prestige operates seven days a week, and Marketing supports events, promotions, grand openings, social media, community initiatives, and time-sensitive customer communications.

The Marketing Manager should therefore have reasonable flexibility to respond to occasional time-sensitive marketing matters outside of normal business hours, including limited evening or weekend communication when necessary.

This is not intended to be a continuously on-call position. We are looking for a department leader who understands that occasionally an important marketing matter cannot wait until Monday morning.

About Prestige Car Wash & Gas

Prestige Car Wash & Gas is a growing, family-owned company with locations throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

This position offers an experienced marketing leader the opportunity to truly own and shape a marketing department rather than simply maintain an established corporate playbook.

We want someone who can look at where we are today, see where we could be tomorrow, and help build the people, processes, campaigns, technology, and strategy necessary to get us there.

If you are an experienced marketing leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys creating structure, is comfortable working directly with ownership, and wants the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a growing brand, we'd love to hear from you.
