Job description

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Equipment Relocation Operator will have a strong understanding of heavy equipment and be able to operate a variety of machines safely and efficiently. The Equipment Relocation Operator is responsible for the transportation and relocation of heavy equipment for harvesting and farming functions. The Equipment Relocation Operator will also be responsible for inspecting and maintaining equipment, and ensuring that it is in safe working condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Load and unload equipment from trucks.
  • Drive heavy equipment to and from job sites.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment.
  • Maintain equipment records.
  • Comply with safety regulations.
  • Performs other related projects and assignments as business dictates.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work with GPS and other precision equipment technologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work long hours in a physically demanding environment.

LICENSES REQUIRED:ย  CDL Driverโ€™s license.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Strong understanding of heavy equipment mechanics.
  • Excellent safety record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular attendance is required during your scheduled shift, which will include weekends and holidays.
  • Work is conducted in an open outdoor environment; candidate will be exposed to heights.
  • Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, dusty, and foggy working conditions depending on weather.
  • Must be able to work in all positions (bending, climbing steps, kneeling, reaching, and crawling) and be able to continuously lift up to 50 pounds.
