Job description

Social Media Manager
Chicago, onsite
Contractor, part time, 2 days per week
About TxODDS
TXODDS is a premier provider of ultra low-latency, accurate odds data, fast scores, and innovative betting solutions for the global sports betting industry. With offices in London, Chicago, and Belgrade - and team members working worldwide - we deliver cutting-edge technology and data products that power some of the world's top sportsbooks.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team on a part-time, six-month contract. Based in our Chicago office, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day execution of our social media strategy, ensuring content is published consistently, campaigns are supported effectively, and our community remains engaged.
Working closely with the Marketing Director, Brand & Communications Manager, Copywriter, and Senior Multimedia Designer, you'll help bring campaigns to life across our social channels while maintaining a consistent and engaging brand presence.
This is an execution-focused role, ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Why a Contract Role?
As our business continues to grow, we're evolving how social media supports our broader marketing strategy. We're intentionally starting with a six-month contractor position to help us assess the long-term needs of the function while giving the successful candidate the opportunity to shape how the role develops. Our intention is to use the learnings from this engagement to define a permanent position that best supports the business.
What You'll Do
  • Own the day-to-day execution of our social media channels, scheduling and publishing content across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and other relevant platforms.
  • Ensure content is published on time, aligned with campaign objectives, and consistent with our brand voice.
  • Manage community engagement by monitoring and responding to comments, direct messages, and mentions, fostering meaningful conversations with our audience.
  • Coordinate content production by working closely with the Marketing Director, Copywriter, Brand & Communications Manager, and Senior Multimedia Designer to gather assets, manage timelines, and keep the content pipeline moving.
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns and live product launches across social channels.
  • Monitor channel performance, build regular reporting, and provide actionable insights to improve engagement, reach, and content effectiveness.
  • Stay on top of platform trends, emerging formats, and best practices, bringing fresh ideas to help grow our social presence.

What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or in-house marketing team.
  • Hands-on experience with social media management and scheduling tools, with the ability to build and maintain content calendars.
  • A strong understanding of what drives engagement across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit.
  • Experience analysing social performance data, producing reports, and translating insights into recommendations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, self-directed approach and the ability to work effectively within a lean, collaborative team.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Have
  • Experience in sports betting, fintech, Web3, or another fast-paced industry.
  • Experience supporting product launches or integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of using Planable
