Job description

Do you want to do work that matters, alongside supportive leaders who will help you grow faster than you ever thought possible? Are you a creative problem-solver who is energized by challenges? You've come to the right place.
YOUR IMPACT
You will gather and process information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop recommendations for presentation to client management.
You will typically work in teams of 3-5 consultants and will be engaged in every aspect of the client project.
Working hand-in-hand with clients from all major industries (e.g. consumer goods, financial services, telecommunication, pharmaceutics, global energy & materials, AI, etc.) will be at the core of your responsibilities.
Your team will help set the strategic direction, develop marketing and sales capabilities, and connect their organization to realize the full potential of today's omni-channel opportunities and deliver above-market growth in today's market.
You will have an opportunity to build on your previous experience and as well as explore growth, marketing and sales topics that are new to you.
You will receive exceptional training as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from colleagues on your teams.
You will have a partner assigned to you to help navigate your career as well as up to five weeks of formal training in your first two years with McKinsey.
Additionally, you will receive guidance and support from your professional development team in the selection of client projects, helping you develop your skills and build your network.
You will be based in our Milan office and will be part of our Growth, Marketing & Sales Practice.
On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate with colleagues from around the world as well as outside of the Growth, Marketing and Sales practice to help leading organizations solve their most complex problems. From day one, you will be exposed to senior McKinsey leaders and executive level clients.
The Growth, Marketing and Sales practice strives to help clients in both consumer and business-to-business environments on a wide variety of marketing and sales topics. The mission of this practice is to help clients achieve marketing-driven profit growth.
Our clients benefit from our experience in core areas of marketing such as branding, customer experience, customer lifecycle management, digital marketing, insights & analytics, Marketing Return on Investment, organization & capabilities, pricing, sales & channel management.
You are joining a firm whose culture is distinctive and inclusive. We will accelerate your development as a leader to create positive, enduring change in the world. Visit our website to find out more about our work and how we help our clients.
YOUR GROWTH
Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues-at all levels-will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you'll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won't find anywhere else.
When you join us, you will have:
  • Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. The real magic happens when you take the input from others to heart and embrace the fast-paced learning experience, owning your journey.

We not only encourage diverse perspectives, but they are critical in driving us toward the best possible outcomes.
  • Global community: With colleagues across 65+ countries and over 100 different nationalities, our firm's diversity fuels creativity and helps us come up with the best solutions for our clients. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • World-class benefits: On top of a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we provide a comprehensive benefits package to enable holistic well-being for you and your family.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • University degree
  • Experience in operational or strategic marketing in sector (for example, consumer goods, financial services, telecommunication, pharmaceutics) or in consulting focused on growth-related topics
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with people at all levels in an organization
