The goal of PNC's Development Programs is to move analysts and associates from development roles into production roles in one of PNC's lines of business or corporate function areas.

The Marketing and Communication (MarCom) Development Program is based in Pittsburgh, PA and is a 12-month program during which associates have the opportunity to rotate through different areas/teams within PNC's MarCom Organization. The MarCom Organization is non-client facing and provides support to business leaders across PNC.

MarCom has responsibility for growing the PNC Brand and managing the reputational risk for all of PNC. MarCom is also responsible for internal and external communications and marketing across PNC, providing expertise to PNC's business leaders and employees, and supporting a customer-centric organization that drive strategic communications, bold marketing, and innovative solutions to support PNC's business priorities.

The program consists of rotational assignments, shadow exposures, blended learning opportunities, and mentoring which will enable associates to develop their skills. While in the program, associates will rotate through MarCom teams in select areas based on the associate's development program area of focus and business need. Rotational opportunities may be assigned in the following areas:

  • Employee and Executive Communications

  • External Communications

  • Business Communications

  • Brand Marketing

  • Regional Marketing

  • Social Media

  • Growth Marketing

  • Marketing Planning and Operations

  • Marketing Technology and Digital Experience

Associates will work and network with MarCom professionals at various levels of the organization. Specific job responsibility will vary depending on each rotation within the program, and associates will gain exposure in many different areas within the business.

Job Profile:

Participates as an analyst/associate in the line of business development program.

  • Works under supervision to perform or assist with the core activities of the group by applying knowledge learned to drive business results (e.g., Internal or external media or marketing interaction, project support).

  • Participates in social learning within the organization (e.g., identifies and networks with business representatives and peers, participates in mentoring, job shadowing and community outreach).

  • Participates in formal learning related to activities and projects.

  • Supports the internal and external customer experience by always providing excellent service; takes accountability and ensures problem resolution.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Preferred business relevant majors (e.g., Marketing, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Marketing Research and Analytics, Marketing Management, Social Media Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Digital Communication and Media Arts, Health Communication, Journalism, Professional Communication, Public Relations, and Advertising, Public and International Affairs, Economic and Digital Art, Visual Art) Minimum GPA 3.0.

  • Roles at this level are filled by recent university / college graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills. Includes individuals joining the organization through a corporate development/training program.
