Job description

Are you passionate about defining and driving the creative operations strategy that elevates the Amazon Music brand and customer experience at scale? Are you energized by building end-to-end strategic operational frameworks, designing governance structures, and setting the standard for how creative work gets done across a global organization? Do you thrive in ambiguity, translating complex business objectives into streamlined creative workflows that unlock efficiency and raise the bar for cross-functional delivery? If so, the Amazon Music Design & Creative Operations team is looking for a Senior Creative Operations Manager to own the operational strategy for our Brand Strategy & Copy pillar - leading complex programs, influencing senior stakeholders, mentoring team members, and defining the mechanisms that enable our brand strategists and copywriters to do their best work.
Key job responsibilities
Creative Operations Strategy & Program Ownership
• Own the end-to-end creative operations strategy for the Brand Strategy & Copy team, designing the frameworks, workflows, and governance structures that enable strategic creative delivery at scale
• Lead capacity planning across campaigns, tentpole events, and internal initiatives - proactively identifying resourcing gaps, managing trade-offs, and communicating program status to leadership
• Define and continuously improve creative brief templates, intake processes, and prioritization mechanisms that serve the team's evolving needs
• Own project timelines and delivery milestones for complex, multi-workstream programs spanning creative marketing, product launches, and brand strategy initiatives
• Serve as the central operational hub between Brand Strategists, Copywriters, Design, Marketing, and external agency partners - driving alignment, removing blockers, and ensuring flawless execution
• Own budget management and cost reporting for the Brand Strategy & Copy operational portfolio; identify opportunities to optimize spend and drive efficiencies
Workflow Design & Process Innovation
• Define and implement scalable content development workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that the broader creative organization adopts
• Build and maintain comprehensive process documentation, knowledge repositories, and operational playbooks
• Identify, evaluate, and implement workflow optimizations - including AI-powered tooling - that measurably improve creative throughput and reduce cycle time
• Establish and own creative review and approval processes across multiple stakeholder groups; set quality gates and escalation paths
• Design resource allocation frameworks that balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational demands
Stakeholder Engagement, Influence & Mentorship
• Build deep, trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Product, and Partner teams - serving as the go-to operational leader for the Brand Strategy & Copy space
• Influence cross-functional roadmaps and planning cycles (OP1/OP2) to ensure creative operations has a seat at the table and appropriate resourcing
• Represent the creative operations practice in leadership reviews, defining key performance metrics and delivering regular business reporting
• Mentor and develop junior Creative Operations Managers and cross-functional partners on operational best practices, raising the bar for the discipline
• Lead vendor and agency relationships - negotiating scope, managing performance, and ensuring external partners meet Amazon's creative and operational standards
