About the Role
We're seeking a creative, organized, and results-driven Marketing Manager to support Harper Brothers Construction's marketing, communications, branding, and pursuit efforts. This role will work closely with executive leadership, business development, estimating, and operations teams to strengthen the company's market presence, support strategic pursuits, and elevate the Harper Brothers brand across Texas and the Mountain States.
This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and wants to make a meaningful impact on a growing heavy civil construction company. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, skilled project manager, and collaborative team player who can effectively manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality marketing and pursuit materials
What You'll Do
  • Manage and execute company marketing and communications initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Coordinate qualifications, proposals, presentations, and interview materials for strategic pursuits.
  • Assist with pursuit planning, messaging development, content organization, and proposal production.
  • Maintain and enhance the Harper Brothers brand across all client-facing materials, digital platforms, and marketing collateral.
  • Manage website content, social media channels, digital marketing campaigns, and company communications.
  • Develop project profiles, case studies, award submissions, photography coordination, and content for marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with operations, estimating, business development, and executive leadership teams to support growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate conferences, sponsorships, client events, industry associations, and networking activities.
  • Track marketing and pursuit metrics and assist with reporting on proposal activity and performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing processes, proposal quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Position Requirements
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, proposals, business development support, or related fields.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, industrial services, or professional services preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting RFQs, RFPs, proposals, interviews, or strategic pursuits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM platforms, and proposal management tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams across all levels of the organization.
